The Elvis Presley Forever Stamp is the most expensive stamp that has ever been made for the King of Rock and Roll which costs $49.99 each. The United States has added another stamp to its Music Icons series. Elvis Presley, a musician, actor, and guitarist who rose to prominence as one of rock and roll’s first real stars are recognized by the Postal Service.
William Speer’s 1955 black and white portrait of Presley appears on the Forever Stamp. A little gold crown, a homage to Presley’s moniker The King of Rock and Roll, can be seen in the bottom left corner, sandwiched in between the words “Forever” and “USA.” Along the right side is where Presley also signed the document in gold ink.
A vintage 45 rpm record cover resembles the square stamp sheet. The stamps and a picture of a portion of a record that appears to be peeking out of the top of the sleeve are on one sheet’s opposite side.
