10 of the Rarest and the Most Valuable Shopkins Ever

| |

Shopkins by Moose Toys are collectible figures that have been coming out of Australia since 2014. They are now on the 15th season of these plastic and rubber toys, which can be squishy, see-through, metallic, or sparkly. The Shopkins merchandise line includes the toys as well as clothes, a trading card set, and more.

The Shopkins in this list are ultra-rare, special edition, limited edition, or exclusive toys, which for one reason or another have become the rarest of the rare in this popular toy line. “Things You Love Made Micro!” is the current slogan of Shopkins, which takes common grocery store items and turns them into these little creatures. But there’s nothing common about these! These are the 10 rarest Shopkins out there.

  1. Sophie Trophie
  2. Season: 7
    # Produced: 100
    Color: Purple
    Finish: Metallic

Sophie Trophie is a ham for the camera, showing off her glamor in a purple metallic finish, a sly wave, and a sassy wink. She’s the limited edition Shopkin from season 7, with 100 trophies circulating among collectors in the world.

The color gradient on Sophie Trophie is what really sets her apart. At the base around the lips, she’s pure metallic silver, changing into bright purple in the body and stem, which fades into a cold metallic blue, and then around the stars on top becomes a bright gold. The drawing on the official Shopkins Wiki doesn’t do her justice.

    Did you know?

Sophie Trophie was the only trophy Shopkin for a while. However, the Winnie Award Shopkin, which came out in 2017, finally gave her some company (more on that Shopkin in a bit).

  3. Tiny Tiara Topper
  4. Season: 6
    # Produced: 100
    Color: Pink
    Finish: Glitter

Tiny Tiara Topper is one of the CUTEtensils series Shopkins, coming to us from season 6, with only 100 units in circulation. Her entire body is a tiara topper, with hues of pink and lavender and an overcoat of sparkly glitter. Glitter Shopkins aren’t the most common, so that should give this one away.

Her face is scrunched up in a look of self-satisfaction, with a tiny smile and closed eyes.

    Did you know?

Tiny Tiara Topper is actually the second tiara Shopkin, the first being called just Tiara, featured in the Ballet Collection, one of the Fashion Spree-themed collection packs. If you’re looking for the much rarer Tiny Tiara Topper, just look out for her glitter finish.

  5. Paula Puzzle
  6. Season: 5
    # Produced: 100
    Color: Silver
    Finish: Tiny Toys/Metallic
    Paula Puzzle

Paula Puzzle in Shopkins season 5 was only produced 100 times, making it one of the limited edition figures that get snatched up in thrift stores and auctions as soon as a collector recognizes it. Paula looks like a Rubik’s Cube with four faces on each side. Each of her six sides has its own color: yellow, white, purple, silver, pink, and gold.

    Did you know?

Of all the Tiny Toys, Paula Puzzle is the only one with that attractive metallic finish.

  7. Frenchy Perfume
  8. Season: 4
    # Produced: 100
    Color: Yellow
    Finish: Perfume Pretties

Frenchy Perfume is a chubby perfume bottle with innocent eyes and big lips. Her bottle is dark orange that fades up into a yellow finish, with a golden lid tied with pink ribbon. Frenchy dreams of Paris and may never go, unless one of these 100 figures stows away in a suitcase.

She is the limited edition Shopkin from season 4

    Did you know?

Uniquely, Frenchy Perfume does not have an opaque metallic or glittery finish but is actually translucent yellow and partly see-through, like the plastic version of a real perfume bottle.

  9. Roxy Ring
  10. Season: 3
    # Produced: 100
    Color: Gold
    Finish: Cool jewels
    Roxy Ring

Each Shopkins season features a limited edition Shopkin limited to 100 units. Roxy Ring is the limited edition for season 3, with her cool jewels finish and signature sassy expression. Her figure is a solid gold ring with a huge, clear blue jewel on top. Shopkins’ YouTube channel described Roxy Ring in a season 3 commercial as “Miss Goldie.” We’re not sure if that was a demo name or a pet name for this wedding-crashing, collectible lady.

    Did you know?

In season 10, Roxy Ring was re-released as a special collector’s edition Shopkin, which had a differently colored ring. The original from season 3 is the rare one, of course.

  11. Marsha Mellow
  12. Season: 2
    # Produced: 100
    Color: Gold
    Finish: Bling
    Marsha Mellow

Marsha Mallow is a limited edition, glittery gold marshmallow with blue eyes and puffy cheeks. This season 2 Shopkin was only released in 100 units, making it one of the rarest out there. Marsha Mallow loves camping, as evidenced by her catchphrase, “Let’s play s’more.” She’s going to be hard to find though, even if she has a bling finish.

    Did you know?

In season 10, Marsha Mellow was re-released as a collector’s edition special. Despite that enticing name, however, they aren’t nearly as rare as the season 2 originals.

  13. Cupcake Queen
  14. Season: 1
    # Produced: 100
    Color: Gold
    Finish: Metallic
    Cupcake Queen

Cupcake Queen is a metallic gold cupcake with a cute smile, a pink candy apple scepter, and hair made of white frosting with pink sprinkles. They’ve been around since season 1, making other more recent appearances in seasons 9 and 10. Only 100 units of the Cupcake Queen have been released in the entire world, making her one of the rarest Shopkins on the market.

She spawned the Cupcake Queen Café playset. In the webisodes, Cupcake Queen has a British accent and seems to be related to Cupcake Princess, an ultra-rare season 6 Shopkin.

    Did you know?

In season 9, Cupcake Queen saw a rerelease as part of the Color Change Cuties Tribe. This variation on her design gave her a yellow cupcake with blue icing. The gimmick was that her icing turned pink in hot water. This version of her is much more common.

  15. Winnie Award
  16. Season: N/A
    # Produced: 1
    Color: Gold
    Finish: Metallic
    Winnie Award

Winnie Award is the most recent one-of-a-kind Shopkin, released in 2017. This Shopkin, and the ones that follow her on this list, have only been produced once. There is only one Winnie Award in the whole world.

This sparkling gold trophy studded with three diamonds was displayed in 2017 at the New York Toy Fair. After that, she was given a GoFundMe page that raised money for the Toy Industry Foundation. A random donor to that page was selected to receive the world’s only Winnie Award.

    Did you know?

While many of the Shopkins drawings show their eyes with colored irises, in figure form they always have plain eyes, except for the rarest Shopkins out there. Winnie Award is one of the only Shopkins to have bright blue eyes.

  17. Jenny Penny
  18. Season: N/A
    # Produced: 1
    Color: Gold
    Finish: Metallic
    Jenny Penny

Jenny Penny is the second of three one-of-a-kind Shopkins, with only one produced in the entire world. She’s a sweet-looking Penny girl who looks a lot like the Shopkin coin that pops up on the Shopkins app (though that Shopkin doesn’t seem to have a name). Her eyes are the same color as the rest of her, making her the first Shopkin for which this is the case and giving her that solid metallic gold finish.

Jenny Penny went for auction on eBay as a charity drive for the Toy Trust. The auction had no reserve and started at $0.99, eventually raising a winning bid of £4,100, or about $5,342 USD.

    Did you know?

Jenny Penny has a big “1000” on her back because she’s the 1000th Shopkin that has ever been made. She celebrated by donated over $5,000 to a worthy cause.

  19. Gemma Stone
  20. Season: N/A
    # Produced: 1
    Color: Clear
    Finish: Translucent
    Gemma Stone

The rarest Shopkin is Gemma Stone. She was the first one-of-a-kind Shopkin ever produced and as of the writing of this article the most expensive Shopkin ever purchased. In 2015, she was proudly displayed at the New York Toy Fair. Shortly after that, she went on eBay as the first exclusive, one-of-a-kind Shopkin ever made and sold for $21,500 from a starting bid of $1. The proceeds went to the Toy Industry Foundation.

Gemma Stone, an allusion to the actor Emma Stone, is a cutesy diamond gem that’s partially see-through and glitters in the light. She has her own exclusive Shoppie and remains the rarest Shopkin in the world.

    Did you know?

Gemma Stone was also the only Shopkin at the time to have a specific eye color on the figure. Starting in season 10, more Shopkins started to follow her example.

The Takeaway

Shopkins replicate tiny grocery store items for collectors willing to go all-out for their artificial rarity. The Shopkins listed here are their season’s limited-edition figures, which Moose Toys restricts to 100 total units worldwide, or the one-of-a-kind promotional figures that have sold for thousands of dollars. This makes these collectible Shopkins highly sought after and tough to find. Maybe use this guide to spot them at a thrift shop, at the bottom of a bin of unwanted knick-knacks. You may be surprised by what you find!
