Tricolore was created as an homage to the Frecce Tricolori, the Italian Air Force’s aerobatic training unit, and has a distinctive bodywork design with no canopy, an overhead intake scoop, and a red, white, and green color scheme. Unfortunately, only three were produced, each costing roughly $6.7 million.
The interior of Huayra Tricolore has been updated, drawing design cues from the cockpit of the Aermacchi MB-339A, the aircraft flown by the Frecce Tricolori. In addition, the billet material used to fabricate the aluminum parts is of aeronautical quality.
