8 Most Expensive Water Guns Currently on the Market

| |

Believe it or not, the first water gun was created by a NASA engineer!

Dr. Lonnie Johnson was born in the fall of 1949. Lonnie learned how to invent things from a young age as his father helped him create toys. By 13, the growing inventor attached a lawnmower engine to a go-kart he made himself and drove it down the freeway.

Lonnie kept pursuing inventions as an adult. In 1979, he became a Senior Systems Engineer at NASA and helped send a craft to Jupiter.

One day in 1982, Lonnie was trying to develop an improved refrigeration system. He hooked up a nozzle to his bathroom sink, then accidentally shot a stream of water across the room.

“I was doing the experiment and thought to myself, ‘This would make a great gun,’” said Lonnie.

And he was right! Lonnie soon perfected the water gun, and the toy hit store shelves in 1990.

There are a bunch of different water guns today. With this list, we’ll look at eight of the most expensive water guns you can buy in 2022. Keep reading to learn more!
