Koenigsegg is known for making super-expensive cars with powerful engines and futuristic designs. The company was founded in 1994 by Swedish automotive engineer and entrepreneur Christian von Koenigsegg.
Koenigsegg took eight years to launch its first street-legal model. It was Koenigsegg CC8S. Only 6 units of this model were ever built. Koenigsegg continues to maintain this tradition of building a small number of cars per model. The company doesn’t make cars for the mass market. Koenigsegg Agera XS is a variation of Agera RS. Only two units of this car were specially made for two US customers, one had red chassis, and another one was orange.
Koenigsegg launched Agera RS in 2015. It combined the features of two previously released models, the Agera R and Agera S. The model was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show.
In 2017, Koenigsegg decided to build special-edition Agera for the US market. The name was changed at the request of the owners. The design was also slightly changed as it came with a bigger wing.

8. Koenigsegg NLV Quant

NLV Quant was the first electric car made by Koenigsegg. It was a concept car made by Koenigsegg in collaboration with NLV Solar of Switzerland. It is a fully electrical car powered by thin-layer solar technology and Flow Accumulator Energy Storage (FAES), an invention of NLV. NLV combined an electrochemical battery and a redox cell to build this system.
The accumulator could be charged to full capacity in 20 minutes for a range of over 300 miles. The concept of NLV Quant was presented in Geneva in 2009, and it was showcased in 2010.

7. Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut

Koenigsegg Jesko was unveiled at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. The car is offered in two versions Jesko Attack and Jesko Absolut. While Jesko Attack is track-oriented, Jesko Absolut is all about speed. Both models are fully homologated for sale in the U.S and street-legal worldwide.
Jesko Absolut is priced higher than the other version due to the upgradation required for lowering the drag efficiency. The first pre-series production of Jesko was revealed in July 2021, and the company promised to ship the first customer cars in spring 2022. However, as of November 2022, no cars had been delivered.
Koenigsegg said they have a plan to build 125 units of this car; however, it is not clear how many of them will be of the Absolut variant. If the company reaches its target of making 125 Jesko, it will be its highest production of a single model.

6. Koenigsegg CC850

CC850 is the latest model by Koenigsegg. The design and specs of the car were revealed on August 19, 2022, at Pebble Beach, California. Koenigsegg designed this car to pay homage to the company’s first production model, CC8S, released in 2002.
The company decided to build 50 units of this car to celebrate the 50th birthday of founder Christian von Koenigsegg. However, all fifty cars were sold out in record time. Six days later, Koenigsegg announced they would build another 20 units of the car to meet the increased demand. The car will be shipped to the owners sometime around mid-2023.
While talking about CC850, Christian von Koenigsegg said, “The CC8S put us on the map and made us successful – and celebrating 20 years of production, alongside my 50th birthday, felt like the right time to reveal the CC850 to appreciate our roots.”

Although the car celebrates the anniversary of CC8S, the two cars do not share any similarities except for the name. Instead, the model is designed based on Jesko.
5. Koenigsegg Agera RS Phoenix

Agera RS Phoenix is a customized version of Koenigsegg Agera RS. It was commissioned by famous Los Angeles-based car collector Manny Khoshbin. He received the car in the spring of 2018 and paid $2.2 million for it. However, only 5 months later, he sold it for a whopping $4.1 million.
The gorgeous car has a unique gloss-finished carbon fiber body and real gold leaf accents throughout its interior and exterior. Roof scoop, side skirts, front splitter, rear wing, doors, front canards, and hood stripe, gold leaf accents are everywhere.

Next on our list is the Koenigsegg Agera FE Thor, the Final Edition of Koenigsegg’s most iconic model, Agera. In 2018, the company announced it would release two Final Edition Agera cars to commemorate the end of the model’s production run; Agera Thor is one of them.
The car is finished in two-tone color, featuring a carbon and diamond flake paint scheme. It has a large shark fin atop the rear engine decklid, a unique addition to this model. Besides, the car is fitted with a big rear wheel, larger than that of the Agera RS.

Koenigsegg Agera FE Vader is the other Final Edition Agera released along with Agera Thor. The two cars were very similar in appearance and specs, with some minor variations.
The same two-scheme paint was used in Agera Vader; however, it was accentuated with loads of gold. The central fin atop the rear engine decklid was not present in this model, and the winglets were smaller.
Both Vader and Thor received a one-megawatt engine update that made the cars capable of reaching an insane speed.

Koenigsegg One:1 is a track-focussed car made with extraordinary power. The car was unveiled during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. A total of seven cars were built, including the prototype presented at the Geneva Motor Show.
The car was powered by a 5.0 L twin-turbocharged V8 engine, a variant of the engine used in the other Agera cars. The name One:1 refers to the car’s 1 horsepower to 1-kilogram power ratio, which was previously thought to be impossible for a fully street-legal and usable sports car.
Originally, the car was priced at $2.8 million. In 2019, one example of Koenigsegg was sold for over $4.6 million at a charity auction. This car was confiscated from the son of Equatorial Guinea’s dictator Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue.

CCXR Trevita is the most expensive Koenigsegg car ever built. It was a limited-edition car based on Koenigsegg CCXR. It can be seen as a final edition of CCXR before it was retired.
The name Trevita is an abbreviation in Swedish, meaning three whites. The car features Koenigsegg Proprietary Diamond Weave carbon fiber finish, a new method developed by the company to manufacture carbon fiber. The unique method enabled the manufacturer to coat the fibers with a diamond finish.
The car was fitted with a 4.8-liter twin-supercharged V8 engine, the same as the regular CCXR. The car runs on biofuel and can produce 1.018 horsepower.
Initially, the company planned to build three units of CCXR Trevita, but the production was suspended after two were made. Koenigsegg decided not to continue with the production due to the complexity involved in making the diamond weave carbon fiber.
